Maryland contribution limits: Individual contributions to a state-level candidate committee are capped at $6,000 per election cycle. The current four-year cycle runs January 2023 through January 2027.
Who can give: U.S. citizens and lawfully admitted permanent residents. Contributions from corporations and labor unions are prohibited under Maryland campaign finance law for state-level candidate committees.
Tax status: Contributions to Friends of Johnny Mautz are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
